Overview

We invite you join our Wounded Healers Portrait Series & Podcast Launch Party– an emergent multimedia storytelling project that brings us inside the lives of nine educators, community leaders and practitioners who are transforming how they relate to their own wounds, and in doing so finding new pathways to create spaces for themselves and their communities to thrive, flourish and heal. The Launch Party will take place on Tuesday, January 17th at 6:30PM Eastern Time. This event will be part of the W.K. Kellogg Foundations Racial Healing Day as well.

The first nine portraits & interviews are part of the first wave of resources that will be provided to the community. The term Wounded Healer has its roots in psychology and Greek mythology and suggests that it is through our own wounds that we grow in our capacity to heal and nurture others. You can hear the first wave of interviews on Season 2 of the Acosta Institute Podcast, accessible on all major streaming platforms!  We encourage sharing this widely to inspire more educators and leaders in the front lines. A special thank you to Paper Monday for shooting & conducting interviews the beautiful portraits!
