BROUGHT TO YOU BY
Community Audio Garden
PEDAGOGIES FOR COLLECTIVE RECOVERY
October 7th-11th, 2021
Welcome the Summit Audio Garden
Channeling the power of our Summit speakers and an expansive network of colleagues, we bring to you this community audio garden to nurture and enhance your summit experience. The central goal of this garden is to give the community a sense of the fertile soil that constitutes the healing-centered and restorative paradigm in education and beyond. We thank Dr. Angel Acosta and Maria Tan for conducting interviews. We also thank New Constellations for their contribution to this blossoming virtual space. May this work thrive and may all of our collective endeavors contribute to our collective recovery.
The content below is contributed by New Constellations, an audio-visual journey that explores new paradigms for transformation, hope and possibility through profound encounters with luminaries from a multitude of fields. We are grateful for Gemma Mortensen, Iris Andrews, Jo Barratt, Lily Pichaud for their generosity and willingness to contribute these to our audio garden.
For the last decade, Dr. Acosta has worked to bridge the fields of leadership, social justice, and mindfulness.
Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz is an award-winning Associate Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on racial literacy in teacher education, Black girl literacies, and Black and Latinx male high school students.
