OVERVIEW

After teaching the Healing-Centered Education: A Primer course, we got a sense for the profound need in our community for more spaces to engage in healing modalities. This course experience invites participants into a two - week practice intensive. Expert practitioners from the healing arts will join us to facilitate sessions that will enable us to engage in personal healing work. Below are some of the modalities that we will engage in throughout our journey:

  • Breathwork

  • Sound Healing

  • Archaeology of Self

  • Somatic & Embodied Practices

Curated by Dr. Angel Acosta and supported by a robust course digital infrastructure, this course supports participants who took the Primer course and a select number of invited community members to take a deep dive into some of the most powerful healing-centered modalities that can be experienced digitally. Below are some of the questions we will explore through practice:

  • How does breathwork enable powerful altered states that activate healing processes within us?

  • How can we leverage sound in the process of doing deep internal growth?

  • How does deep excavation of our own biases contribute to the ways we show up to social change work?

  • How does engaging in healing-work through community amplify or deepen personal growth & restoration?

  • How can we better embody a healing-centered approach in our personal & self-work practice?

  • How does engaging in personal healing work impact our professional calling & vocation?
